From May to the beginning of September, the Otter Valley and The Alder hums with activities for families, couples, and nature lovers. There's so much to do that even a week isn't enough time to explore everything. Spring and summer in the Otter Valley is the perfect family vacation spot, whether you are with your family or on a retreat with friends!

With more than 6 km's of scenic shoreline dotted with little inlets and quiet natural settings, Otter Lake offers a wealth of water-based recreation. Sailing, cruising, canoeing and kayaking - with your own craft, rentals or charters - are just a few of the ways to enjoy the sparkling waters lying right outside your door.

You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy the living legacy of the Tulameen area with its fascinating museums and ghost towns including the Mascot Gold Mine! Geocaching also gets you out into the local area as you explore new areas searching for objects hidden by other travelers and locals using your GPS, a good eye and your explorers hat!

The area also offers some of the best hiking and biking opportunities to be found in the mountains. Golf courses, horseback riding, great fishing, fresh fruit, and challenging golf courses are complemented by picturesque sunsets, friendly people and new memories created with friends and family.

Summer is peak time for fun and relaxation in the Otter Valley.
