Otter Lake holds its fair share of sport fish species and can be fished all year round. Otter Lake is stocked by the Summerland Trout Hatchery with rainbow trout fry resulting in excellent sport fishing opportunities.

Spring through autumn provides outstanding opportunities for trolling and fly-casting for laketrout, rainbow, brook trout and even kokanee. Fishing can be done right off your boat or off the dock. A public boat launch is located at the Southern end of Otter Lake adjacent to the town of Tulameen.

Fishing opportunities abound in the greater Tulameen area with many small and well-known fishing lakes within an hour’s drive of the Alder. Many lakes are suitable for belly and pontoon boats, are easily accessible and make fantastic day trips. There are more than 40 lakes in the immediate area.

There is a limited selection of fishing gear at the Tulameen Trading Post. Some fishing rods are provided at the Alder, but you will need to bring your own tackle box.

Please consult the BC Fishing Regulations to ensure you are fishing within the guidelines. Licenses can be obtained at the general store.
